Lost Foundry 2022
In storage for over twenty years after salvaging it in 1996, I rebuilt the 14 x 38 foot facade on scaffolding at home. Disembling it again, I trucked it to the exhibition in Victoria, British Columbia inside a defunct gymnasium overlooking the foundry's former site, where it had been located for over one hundred and twenty years. A diorama is viewed through a spyhole in the front door. The exhibition was paired with the sound installation and graphic scores by the artist Lance Olsen. Images of the foundry's original salvage and rebuild can be viewed in the Architecture section of my selected Works.
