While inside a derelect house that was to be demolished the following day, I discovered a small broken chair in the attic.

I photographed it, then measured the distance the chair was from the street surface and the edge of the lot's line. I waited several years, then based on these measurements I repositioned the chair in the newly built structure, an extended care home and re-photographed it in situ.
